This policy explains how LibertyCorpora collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with its editorial, account, bookmark, and Q&A features.

1. Purposes of processing

LibertyCorpora processes personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary to provide the service and maintain a reliable editorial platform.

  • Authenticate users through Google or Kakao and maintain sessions.
  • Operate account features such as bookmarks, My Page, and Q&A submissions.
  • Respond to editorial, partnership, press, or support inquiries.
  • Prevent abuse, diagnose errors, protect the service, and improve the reading experience.
  • Comply with applicable laws and retain records needed for disputes or security events.

2. Information collected

The categories below may be collected depending on how you use the site. LibertyCorpora does not require more information than is needed for the selected feature.

  • Google sign-in: name, email address, profile image, provider account identifier, and authentication metadata supplied by Google.
  • Kakao sign-in: nickname, email address if provided by Kakao, profile image if provided, provider account identifier, and authentication metadata.
  • Bookmarks: article identifier, article type, locale, user identifier, and saved or removed timestamps.
  • Q&A: name or account label, email address if provided, question content, response status, and timestamps.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, access time, request path, error logs, security events, and cookies required for authentication.

3. Retention period

Personal information is retained only for the period needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, or handle security and dispute matters.

  • Account and authentication records: until account deletion or withdrawal, unless a longer period is required for security or legal reasons.
  • Bookmarks: until the user removes them or the account is deleted.
  • Q&A submissions: until the inquiry is resolved and for up to three years thereafter for response history and dispute prevention.
  • Server access logs: generally up to one year, unless longer retention is necessary for security investigation or legal compliance.

4. Third-party provision

LibertyCorpora does not sell personal information and does not provide it to third parties except where the user has consented, where a legal obligation applies, or where disclosure is necessary to protect the service and users from unlawful activity.

5. Processors and international transfers

To operate the service, personal information may be processed by infrastructure, authentication, and database providers. These providers process information only for service operation, security, and reliability purposes.

  • Google LLC: OAuth authentication and account profile transmission.
  • Kakao Corp.: Kakao Login authentication and account profile transmission.
  • Supabase: database storage for bookmarks, Q&A, and related account records.
  • Render.com or an equivalent hosting provider: web hosting, server operation, logs, and security monitoring.

6. User rights

Users may request access, correction, deletion, suspension of processing, or withdrawal of consent regarding their personal information. Requests may be sent to editorial@libertycorpora.com and will be handled within a reasonable period under applicable law.

7. Deletion and security

When the retention period expires or the processing purpose is fulfilled, personal information is deleted in a manner that prevents practical recovery. LibertyCorpora uses reasonable technical and administrative safeguards, including HTTPS, access control, secret management, log review, and least-privilege handling of operational data.

8. Cookies and analytics

LibertyCorpora may use cookies and similar technologies to keep users signed in, protect sessions, remember preferences, and understand aggregated service usage. Users may restrict cookies in their browser settings, but some account features may not work correctly.

9. Privacy contact and changes

Privacy-related inquiries may be sent to editorial@libertycorpora.com. This policy may be updated when laws, providers, or service features change. Material changes will be announced in a reasonable manner before or upon taking effect.
